Best Photos Of The 2012 NBA Rookie Photo Shoot

SLAM does a nice job of choosing the 20 best photos that were taken yesterday at the 2012 NBA Rookie Photo Shoot. It’s a rite of passage for most rookies to help shape their image. Most keep it light and look goofy (Anthony Davis), while others take it seriously (Michael Kidd-Gilchrist).

For the most part, it’s been a funfest of poses at the 2012 NBA Rookie Photo Shoot, which is why I like the above picture of Kidd-Gilchrist. He looks like he’s all business and if he’s going to help the Charlotte Bobcats get past being the worst team ever in the NBA by percentage points, Kidd-Gilchrist is going to have to do some damage and do what he has to. It’s not like he’s going to have a lot of help.

On the opposite end, Kidd-Christ’s former Kentucky teammate, Anthony Davis, seems to keep it relaxed and fun. Of course, it helps that he was a part of the gold medal-winning Team USA and got to spend a few weeks with a group of NBA All-Stars and surefire future NBA Hall of Famers. Plus, unlike Kidd-Gilchrist, Davis is going to a team with some nice talent and he won’t have the burden totally on his shoulders (thanks, Eric Gordon) to lift the New Orleans Hornets to contention.

In any case, hit up SLAM and check the top 20 pictures from the 2012 NBA Rookie Photo Shoot! If you want to see them all, hit up Getty Images. There’s a ton there!
