[dropcap]P[\/dropcap]laybill reports<\/a> today that Lindsay Lohan, who used to be more famous for her on-screen roles than her off-screen antics, will be making her stage debut this fall.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, her first foray in the theater world will NOT be in a musical version of Mean Girls<\/em> (which is TOTALLY HAPPENING, PEOPLE<\/a>!). Instead, she will be making her debut in a revival of David Mamet’s Speed the Plow<\/em>, as “Karen,” notable as this same role and play marked Madonna’s Broadway debut<\/a> back in 1988.<\/p>\n

Lohan has most recently been seen (or largely ignored, depends on who you ask) onscreen in Paul Schrader’s The Canyons<\/em>, on television in her own docu-series on the OWN network, and on the front page of most daily online tabloids.<\/p>\n
