In particular, the new Star Wars movie will be acquiring the talents of three stars from The Raid and The Raid 2. That’s right, this Star Wars film has the potential to have the best action scenes out of all the trilogies, at least with its fight choreography. With the additions of acting talents such as Oscar Isaac, John Boyega, Andy Serkis, and the old school players like Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, and Mark Hamill, this action trio rounds out the cast well.

According to Twitch, the three Raid 2 stars that will have roles in J.J. Darth Maul was played by martial artist and actor Ray Park, who really stole the show with his double-sided lightsaber. Let’s face it, that fight scene was probably the one true redeeming factor of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. Let’s take a look back at that fight scene for old time’s sake (and wonder if there will ever be a Darth Maul spinoff film). Star Wars: The Force Awakens wants to top this:

Now, there’s no details on who the three stars of the Raid films will be playing in the Star Wars universe, or which side they’ll be on, but hopefully their talents will be utilized to create some of the best lightsaber battles put on celluloid. The martial art used in the Raid films is Pencak Silat, an indigenous fighting style originating from Indonesia that incorporates daggers and blades.
