Lead singer Annie Clark, who goes by the stage name St. Vincent, is amazing, and her stage presence is electrifying. Odd and electrifying. When the group <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hulu.com\/watch\/637796\">performed on <em>SNL<\/em><\/a> earlier this year I was taken by how she and her backing guitarist\/keyboardist were performing synchronized movements during the songs. Even Letterman\u00a0 astutely notes at the end of this performance &#8220;some of that was semaphore.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"702\" height=\"395\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/NsUKQWCzGEc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>In 2012 Clark teamed up with musical genius David Byrne on the album <a href=\"http:\/\/lovethisgiant.com\/\"><em>Love This Giant<\/em><\/a>, a fantastic collaboration that I highly recommend.<\/p>\n<p>St. Vincent&#8217;s latest album, released earlier this year and aptly titled <a href=\"http:\/\/ilovestvincent.com\/\"><em>St. Vincent<\/em><\/a>, will definitely be on multiple end-of-the-year &#8220;Best Of&#8221; lists (including my own).
