Pop Culture Spin experienced a great 2015 year. With a quality team of writers and editors, multiple excellent pieces of material\u00a0came your way as the months turned. This article will revisit some of our strong highlights from 2015 with hopes that we can build upon them in 2016. I’ll be\u00a0focusing on\u00a0our core PCS team of writers with all of their author pages linked and some thoughts shared on what makes their\u00a0articles worth reading.\u00a0Much of what I’ll discuss will be their recent work, but feel free to dig deeper into the archives as well. Lenny Burnham’s TV reviews, holiday themed lists, and “best of” pieces<\/a><\/strong>
\nLenny, our\u00a0Managing Editor,\u00a0is\u00a0primarily known in the PCS realm for\u00a0being able to discuss\u00a0any TV show with ease. His “25 Days of Christmas Episodes”<\/a> and “26 Days of Thanksgiving Episodes”<\/a> lists were wonderfully extensive holiday\u00a0treats, and his best of 2015 material<\/a>\u00a0has been\u00a0a perfect ending to the year. Follow Lenny<\/a> for his reliable TV knowledge and rare wit.<\/p>\n

Mike Bitanga’s unmatched movie content from reviews, trailers, and more<\/strong><\/a>
\nOur Senior Editor Mike is\u00a0one of the best movie writers I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading. His\u00a0recent reviews of 2015\u00a0have included\u00a0The Hateful Eight<\/em><\/a>, Room<\/a><\/em>, and Star Wars: The Force Awakens<\/a><\/em>. Each provides an overview you’d be lucky to find anywhere else on the web.\u00a0For anyone looking to\u00a0read a classic “movie guy” who will always provide a fair and\u00a0developed opinion, follow Mike<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Drew Creasman’s ongoing stand-up comedy and comic book adaptation lists<\/a>
\n<\/strong>Drew has been a constant fixture on the BMF Podcast<\/a>, but of late he’s branched into a masterful PCS writer with a list specialty. His ongoing projects include a series on the 50 funniest stand-up comedians<\/a> and the best comic book adaptations<\/a> made in film or TV. Follow Drew<\/a> for his unique style. Also watch out in 2016 as yours truly and Drew could be teaming up for joint list installments.<\/p>\n

Sonny Giuliano<\/a>\/Dalton Baggett<\/a> cohesively joining forces on Rocky<\/em> +\u00a0<\/em>Creed<\/em> and Dalton’s TV reviews<\/strong>
\nSonny, a BMF editor,\u00a0collaborated\u00a0with Dalton on tremendous Rocky <\/em>+ Creed <\/em>themed content. This included an interview with Creed <\/em>writer Aaron Covington<\/a> and some hilariously entertaining thoughts in different articles<\/a> about the movie series as a whole. We also can’t forget Sonny’s piece on the top Christmas music<\/a>.\u00a0Dalton helped a ton this year on the TV end in reviewing both Fear the Walking Dead<\/a> <\/em>and The Walking Dead<\/a> <\/em>in addition to Supernatural<\/a><\/em>. Be sure to follow Sonny<\/a> for his ability to cover the sports and entertainment worlds, and\u00a0follow Dalton<\/a>\u00a0for his TV wisdom.<\/p>\n

Jeanie Weber’s TV reviews and strong humorous voice in her\u00a0material<\/a><\/strong>
\nJeanie provides PCS with top notch TV reviews that have covered Supergirl<\/em><\/a>, Scream Queens<\/em><\/a>, and Once Upon a Time<\/a><\/em>. Her writing voice should appease fans of each series in her ability to be humorous but also insightful about plot details and predictions. Follow Jeanie<\/a> because she’s probably reviewing or has reviewed a show you’re interested in.<\/p>\n

Zach Bencomo’s anniversary pieces and knowledge of both old and new school entertainment<\/strong><\/a>
\nZach carved out a niche this year with his anniversary content, touching on special dates of Batman Forever<\/a><\/em>, Toy Story<\/a><\/em>, Shaft<\/em><\/a>, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air<\/a><\/em>, and more. For now, the best way to follow Zach is to visit our site whenever his next article drops. I promise that his anniversary pieces will bring you a fresh perspective on a popular hit.<\/p>\n

Interviews and wrestling from Hector Diaz<\/a><\/strong>
\nHector is a super gifted writer who interviewed two comedians in 2015 – Hannibal Buress<\/a> and Mike E. Winfield<\/a>. Check both out to kick January off with laughs. Beyond this, follow Hector<\/a>\u00a0because he’s\u00a0a quality source for information in the wrestling<\/a> and general sports world.<\/p>\n

Patrick White’s movie material and love of cinema
\n<\/a><\/strong>Patrick has delivered some dynamic movie reviews such as ones on Steve Jobs<\/a><\/em>, The Martian<\/a><\/em>, and Straight Outta Compton<\/a><\/em>. His passion for film is evident with each sentence as he brings readers deeply into where his mind goes during the watching experience. Follow Patrick<\/a> for his movie dependability.<\/p>\n

Awesome and strong comic book content from Gat Stevens<\/a><\/strong>
\nThe man who goes by Gat Stevens for us at PCS has given our readers Valiant<\/a> Comics<\/a> Weekly<\/a> <\/em>material that should excite any fans of the genre. He has the knack for truthfully giving a respectable opinion on each entry. Follow him<\/a> so you know what comics to read versus what to put down.<\/p>\n

My The Wire <\/em>list, interviews, and random nonsense<\/a><\/strong>
\nI had a few enjoyable projects this year. My 30-part The Wire <\/em>list <\/a>was a definite favorite, as was being able to interview director Bert Marcus<\/a>, singer Sophia Danai<\/a>, and model Emily Sears<\/a>. My interview with Emily has been\u00a0the piece I’m most proud of\u00a0during my time with PCS\u00a0and hopefully one that you gain insight from.\u00a0Follow me<\/a> if you feel like it.<\/p>\n
