Weekend Rewind: Air Jordan 1 Retro ’94 ‘Venom Green’

Posted on

Weekend Rewind: Need to catch another look at the top weekend releases in basketball footwear or just catching up in general? BMF’s Weekend Rewind gives you a brief recap in the best performance and lifestyle sneakers to drop, ranging from Nike to Jordan to adidas and more.

Jordan Brand retro mash-ups haven’t been the most popular shoes in some respects, but simultaneously have been wildly successful in other ways and attracting attention. The Air Jordan 1 Retro ’94 ‘Venom Green’ won’t be much different.

Taking the Air Jordan I and the Air Jordan X and mixing the two classics together with a wild-looking green isn’t necessarily something sneakerheads and ballers were expecting – it’s a love/hate shoe that will primarily be a matter of the beholder seeing beauty (or lack thereof).

We here at BMF Kicks & Sportswear don’t think it’s a bad shoe, but it is a somewhat ambiguous shoe. The silhouette is fairly attractive, but not outstanding. What is most attractive about it is the tumbled leather – a long-lost attribute of the modern-day basketball shoe.

The Air Jordan 1 Retro ’94 features elements from the Air Jordan 10 in the classic Air Jordan 1 silhouette. Featuring a full black leather upper, the Venom Green details on the lining and Wings logo pops along with the Venom Green translucent outsole.
