BMF Hoops: Nike KD7 Wild West
Summer 2006 was a pivotal time for Kevin Durant’s growth. The day after high school graduation, Durant moved to Austin, Texas, to attend college. The Nike KD7 Wild West features a silver and orange color scheme that’s set off with a metallic Hyperposite heel.
The KD7 Wild West shoe takes inspiration from the Longhorn State and the Austin culture that Durant enjoyed. Knowing little about Texas and southwest hospitality, Durant immediately felt at home when he arrived on campus in Austin. The friendly welcome extended beyond the basketball court as Durant enjoyed the music, people, food and culture that was distinctly Austin.
