Look Closer presents… New Balance Fresh Foam Boracay & Fresh Foam Zante

Posted on

Look Closer at The BMF with Complex Media is all about giving you the opportunity to see the best footwear and sportswear in performance & lifestyle fashion in up-close and personal, high-quality portraiture served with a side of expert commentary. Inspired and provided by Senior Editor Sandy Dover.

New Balance’s new initiative has been in making its Fresh Foam technology to be the brand standard of performance cushioning, and has done so with great results. In the next phase of the Fresh Foam evolution are the New Balance Fresh Foam Boracay and Fresh Foam Zante, runners that aim to target the market between those who desire a bolder running shoe in fit and those who want something more tailored to feet, without compromising weight or cushioning in either product.

Just in case you haven’t seen either model yourself, you can have the next best thing here at The BMF in this edition of Look Closer.

Take all the time you need to gaze.

The Fresh Foam Boracay. The unofficial sequel to the Fresh Foam 980. A pillowy runner that is made for maximum comfort with a forgiving build that gives your feet more room to operate in with more plush mesh lining. The Fresh Foam sole of the Boracay is wider and has more volume, more coverage underfoot.

The Fresh Foam Zante. A slimmer, tighter version of the FF Boracay. It’s built to be wrapped more closely to the foot, from sole to upper. The Fresh Foam Zante sole is very dense, but lightweight with very good toespring. It’s best for runners looking for something that feels more like an extension of your own feet. Very comfortable, but tailored.
