Piera’s Picks: Holiday Edition

Posted on

S’up? Quite a strong week ahead of us. There are tons of dope Nike releases and one more Ronnie Fieg release that I’m ignoring, because I feel like that’s all I’ve been talking about throughout the year — Ronnie Fieg collabos. No hateration, though, I respect him for being a hardworking person.

So, let’s do this.

Nike KD 8 EXT

White woven upper and gum bottom? COME OVER HERE (Scorpion voice).

Reebok Pump Blast

We get it Reebok, you had one cool tech thing in the ’90s. But why the heck do you have to put it ON EVERY RETRO YOU ARE PUTTING OUT? Oh right, there’s no real reason for it.

Nike Payaa

That olive pair, man! Silhouette-wise, not too sure. I need to see it in person, but I like innovation and this shoe looks innovative. It looks like the lovebaby of a Roshe and the Hyperdunk 2015. The Nike Payaa is something to check out.

Nike Air Huarache Ultra

I don’t know about these, either. I like the Huarache in all of its different versions, but this one kind of feels like a cheaper little brother.

adidas D Lillard 2 “Rip City”

As much I love what adidas did in lifestyle this year, I’m not a fan of their basketball performance stuff. The shoes they put out always look old. They look clumsy, round and heavy. The D Lillard 2 is nothing different.

Nike Kobe X Christmas

Out of  all three Christmas colorways (LeBron, KD, Kobe) the Kobe X is the only that has a Christmas vibe to it. I like the gold and also the green-black-red woven toebox. What I appreciate the most is that it doesn’t look too Christmas-ish. Swag.
