For those of you in need of a New Girl fix of funny, we’ve got good news: Let’s Be Cops hits theaters tomorrow (Wednesday, August 13). It’s your typical buddy-cop movie save for one important factor: these guys aren’t cops!
Starring Jake Johnson and Damon Wayans, Jr. as guys who get mistaken as real cops while dressed up for a costume party, and then really run wild with the idea of being “cops,” the duo get entangled in actual law enforcement scenarios, including (of course, since this is a movie afterall) mobsters and turncoat cops.
The fantastic chemistry that Johnson and Wayans have on New Girl will be in full force in the film, which ought to be illegal (see what we did there?). The movie co-stars Nina Dobrev, Rob Riggle, Keegan-Michael Key, and features James D’Arcy and Andy Garcia.
