We’re counting down to Valentine’s Day by looking at 14 different Valentine’s Day episodes from a variety of shows. Today we’re looking at “Silly Love Songs” from Glee. Let’s take a look at this episode by going over its five most romantic pairings.
5. Kurt & Blaine
Blaine spends most of this episode thinking about someone who is not Kurt, but they do have kind of a nice moment after Kurt is more explicit about his feelings for Blaine. The “gap attack” incident, while embarrassing for both of them, at least shows that they’re on the same page about loving big romantic gestures. The fact that Kurt is so turned on by Blaine singing Robin Thicke while messing up all the displays in the store bodes well for their future. And, by the end of the episode, after they’ve talked, they seem really happy together.
4. Puck & Lauren
Puck screws up a lot and clearly doesn’t know what he’s doing, but he’s trying really hard and likes Laurel a lot. He’s usually easily distracted, but he ignored Santana because he was only thinking of Lauren. (I mean, he did make out with a waitress later, but my point is you see him trying). Plus, he did give her candies, even if they sucked.
3. Brittany & Santana
When Rachel insults Santana, Brittany is the one who’s there to comfort her. She totally gets what Santana means when she says, “‘Cause I just really want to be honest with people when I think that they suck, you know?”
2. Rachel & Finn
Even when Finn is mad at Rachel, he still matter-of-factly says that she’s better than everyone else in the school, which is very much what Rachel is into.
1. Mike & Tina
They stay an honest with each other, loving, happy couple through this entire episode, which is very impressive for a Glee couple. Tina love shim so much she starts sobbing and can’t sing which is a little weird, but it’s nice.
