Stevie Nicks, the original Gold Dust Woman, is getting ready to release a new album!
On October 7, 24 Karat Gold–Songs from the Vault, which contains 16 early songs that were written by Nicks but never previously recorded, will be available in stores and via digital download.
On her website, Stevie wrote:
“Most of these songs were written between 1969 and 1987. Each song is a love story… They represent my life, the secrets, the broken hearts. These songs are the memories, the 24 karat gold rings in the blue box. These songs are for you.”
Here’s the first single from the album, “Dealer,” a fantastic song that is undeniably all-Stevie.
This is extremely exciting news when you consider that the early 1980s brought us such amazing Stevie Nicks albums as Bella Donna, The Wild Heart, and Rock A Little, so whatever other songs she wrote at the time and tucked away for later use are certain to be just as magical as the tunes from her previous albums.
