Disney’s Tomorrowland Trailer

Is Disney going to make movies based on every section of their theme park? Tomorrowland, starring George Clooney, Hugh Laurie, and Brit Robertson, is about a teenager and a former boy-genius who go on an adventure somewhere out there in time and space. They probably have to save the world along the way or something, as usual.

Brad Bird, who directed The Incredibles and The Iron Giant, is definitely a trust-worthy filmmaker that delivers more often than not. George Clooney seems to be playing George Clooney, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. They also threw Keegan-Michael Key of Key and Peele in the mix, so it also has that going for it.

The Japanese trailer reveals a little more about the plot in that the “theme park is just a cover for the real thing.” That’s a little more intriguing than some teen and George Clooney teleporting to some other futuristic world. Now I want to go to Disneyland and find hidden doors, futuristic gadgets, and such.

Anyways, if Disney continues to make movies based on rides or sections of their theme park, I’d love to see a horror movie based on the “It’s a Small World” ride.

Tomorrowland hits theaters May 22, 2015.
