Is he having a laugh?
It would appear so! Yesterday BBC Films announced that a feature film, Life On The Road, is in the works to catch up with David Brent, more than a decade after he was ousted from Wernham Hogg, as he pursues his dream of becoming a rock star. The film will (of course) be done mockumentary style, and Brent will assume he’s being followed for a grand rockumentary about his rise to fame, when in reality he’s being filmed for a “where are they now?” style documentary.
Speaking of “where are they now,” is it too much to hope that Gervais will reunite his ’80s new wave duo, Seona Dancing?
