Anna and Elsa Return! Disney ‘Frozen Fever’ Animated Short Coming in 2015

0

Last night, during the ABC special The Story of Frozen: Making a Disney Animated Classic, it was announced that a new animated short entitled Frozen Fever will be coming soon to a theater near you. Not a true sequel, per se, the story is said to still center around Elsa and Anna, with Anna’s birthday celebrations and Elsa’s pesky ice power issues coming into play.

You can also expect a brand-new song in the film, which will soon infiltrate your every-waking-moment if you have children.

It’s unclear at this time which feature-length Disney production  Frozen Fever will run in front of, but we know that it’s supposed to be ready by spring 2015. Walt Disney Animation Studios doesn’t currently have anything on the docket for 2015 releases but Walt Disney Pictures has several films in the pipeline for next year, including a live-action Cinderella (starring Lily James from Downton Abbey and directed by Kenneth Branagh), Tomorrowland (starring George Clooney), an animated remake of The Jungle Book, and Star Wars: Episode VII.

The natural fit for Frozen Fever  is for it to be attached to Cinderella, so stay tuned for more information.
