Super Bowl 50 is important for two reasons. The first reason is because it features two NFL teams competing for the title of being a Super Bowl Champion. The second reason is because the ads, in this case movie trailers, pique consumer interests and may influence if they want to see any of the movies shown. With that being said, let’s discuss some of the Super Bowl movie trailers that premiered during yesterday’s game.
Captain America: Civil War
Captain America: Civil War was one of the most intense Super Bowl trailers. Some of the highlights from the clip include Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man ‘blocking’ a shot point-blank fired by Sebastian Stan’s Bucky and a close-up shot showing Cap’s team and Iron Man’s team. Captain America: Civil War will hit theaters on May 6, 2016 in 3D and IMAX 3D.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows is the sequel to 2014’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. In this trailer, we see Megan Fox in scantily clad clothing (can’t be mad at that), Stephen Amell’s Casey Jones in action, the Turtles onboard an airplane, and lastly, a glimpse of the supervillain Krang. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows will hit theaters on June 3, 2016 in 3D and IMAX 3D.
X-Men: Apocalypse
X-Men: Apocalypse’s Super Bowl trailer was different from the first trailer. In contrast, the trailer focused on a multitude of surface-to-air missile launching from a field, a city under attack by unknown forces, and Olivia Munn’s Psylocke slicing a car in half. X-Men: Apocalypse will hit theaters on May 27, 2016 in 2D and 3D.
Overall, the Super Bowl has been known for releasing the latest movie trailers since a massive audience is watching. Captain America: Civil War gave us a close-up shot of Cap’s team and Iron Man’s team and some different scenes from previous trailers. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows gave us a look at Krang and the Turtles fighting on top of a plane in addition to Megan Fox being her gorgeous self. X-Men: Apocalypse gave viewers a look at Olivia Munn’s Psylocke and the world being under attack by unknown forces. The final question remains – will you be watching any of these movies?
