We’re counting down to Valentine’s Day by looking at 14 different Valentine’s Day episodes from a variety of shows. Today we’re looking at “Anna Howard Shaw Day” from 30 Rock. Let’s take a look at this episode by going over its five most romantic pairings.

1. Jack & Avery

Jack says that he just wants something fun and easy, but as soon as he gets to know Avery he’s won over. While she correctly assumed that what he was looking for was a casual night, after getting to know her he wants more. He admits to her that actually doesn’t want to settle down and have a family eventually. He pulls out all the stops to impress her, including get Jon Bon Jovi to try to say “hi” to him so he can blow him off in front of her. When Avery asks Liz what she thinks of Jack, Liz is high on painkillers so she says that Jack is the best instead of saying something sarcastic. Avery is clearly starting to agree, she smiles and says, “He is, isn’t he?”

2. Tracy & Angie

Clearly, their soulmates since they”re both happy going to the soup kitchen to let things get sexy.

3. Frank & The Cleaning Lady

When the cleaning lady finally agrees to go out with Frank, they make plans to eat pierogis on her husband’s grave. Glad those weirdos found each other.

4. Evelyn & Tommy

Pete’s daughter Evelyn is very happy when she informs Liz that Tommy gave her a Valentine’s Day card. It’s nice seeing that spark in someone’s eyes. Hopefully hearing about Liz’s sexual misadventures won’t sour her on the idea of love forever.

5. Lutz & Karen

Others may doubt that she exists, but I’m sure Karen is real and it’s very sweet that Lutz is asking about new sex positions to use with her.
