Charlotte Bobcats guard Kemba Walker is expected to miss 10-14 days with a second degree sprain in his left ankle.

He had an MRI to confirm the sprain Sunday.

Walker suffered the injury in the third quarter of Saturday’s game vs. the Miami Heat. X-rays taken at Time Warner Cable Arena following the injury were negative.

Walker has played in all 42 games for the Bobcats this season, averaging team highs of 18.7 points, 5 assists, 1.4 steals and 35.7 minutes, and 4.2 rebounds. USA Today

This is a bad news for Charlotte who is currently ranked 28th in points per game. It will be difficult to replace Walker’s points, but the strength of the team is its’ defensive intensity. Hopefully no setbacks occur during his recovery. – AL
