BMF Lifestyle: Nike Air Trainer 1 PB

Though this model is specially made to honor the National Football League’s 2014 Pro Bowl, the Nike Air Trainer 1 has a unique root to basketball.

The first cross-trainer ever commercially and intently made for multi-sport purposes, the Air Trainer 1 was made for training for court sports and for non-court activity, and the biggest asset of the shoe was its ability to be jogged in, lifted weights with, and have the light weight, stability, and strength to be played in for basketball.

Each year, the game’s best gather in Hawaii to battle for bragging rights. This Air Trainer 1 channels the spirit of competition through an iconic cross-training silhouette adorned with an island-inspired floral print.

First introduced in 1987, Tinker Hatfield designed the Air Trainer 1 as the first footwear solution for multi-sport use. The Air Trainer 1 allowed athletes one footwear choice for all their training needs and marked the beginning of the cross-training era.  Today, the Air Trainer 1′s influence extends to streets and city sidewalks around the world. It’s safe to say: the Air Trainer 1 Knows. Releasing January 25, this launch will be Twitter Link Only.  Please follow @nikestore for more information.
