Heat forward Shane Battier and his wife, Heidi, hosted the third annual South Beach Battioke celebrity karaoke event at the Fillmore in Miami Beach, Monday night. “This is crazy. This is chaos, but I’m excited, and I think we are going to put on a good show,” said Battier.

From Jay-Z songs to the Backstreet Boys, no song was safe. The event allows attendees to get up close and personal with Heat players, coaches and executives, who put down their playbooks and picked up a microphone to sing karaoke for a cause. “It’s a win-win here, hanging out with our crazy friends and getting to support Shane and Heidi and their organization,” said Gabrielle Union.

Proceeds from South Beach Battioke will benefit The Battier Take Charge Foundation, which was founded by Battier and Heidi as a vehicle for awarding college scholarships to deserving at-risk high school students in Miami. WSVN.com
