Weekend Review: The Jordan Melo 1.5 ‘Chicago’

The Jordan Melo 1.5 was one of the first truly creative original designs from the Jordan Brand in 2004. Playing off of Carmelo Anthony’s trademark headband with the shoe’s outer collar, the Melo 1.5 offered a unique look and feel, with its combination tongue/inner collar.

Now in black/white-gym red, the new version of the shoe plays on the rumors of Melo possibly leaving the New York Knicks for the Chicago Bulls — the legendary NBA home of the game’s greatest player and Jordan Brand namesake executive, Michael Jordan.

Black. White. Red. Simple basic colors make up this new Melo 1.5, pairing nicely with a similar color scheme on the Jordan Melo M10. The Melo 1.5 has custom features personalized to Melo’s game: better stability, lighter construction, improved ventilation and a smoother fit.
