Weekend Rewind: Nike Dunk High PRM SB ‘Rival Pack’

Weekend Rewind: Need to catch another look at the top weekend releases in basketball footwear or just catching up in general? BMF’s Weekend Rewind gives you a brief recap in the best performance and lifestyle sneakers to drop, ranging from Nike to Jordan to adidas and more.

The 1980s were somethin’ serious with the North Carolina Tar Heels and Georgetown Hoyas rivalry in collegiate basketball. With powerhouse future Hall of Famers Michael Jordan and Patrick Ewing as opposing competitors, they each changed the way we look at footwear today, and no shoes were more impactful than Nike’s Dunk and Terminator model. Paying homage to the old rivalry, the Nike Dunk High Premium SB ‘Rival Pack’ commemorates the old Nike Terminator “NIKE” imprint on the Georgetown Dark Obsidian/Dark Obsidian-Wolf Grey colorway, while UNC is represented in University Blue/White-White.

The best thing about these Dunks is actually something you can’t see — in the SB version of the Dunk, the shoe is loaded with Zoom Air in the sockliner, and if you’ve ever worn a Dunk, you know how thin the cushioning is. Nike putting their best in this shoe only helps more. Hopefully we’ll all see a collegiate or pro player lace these up soon.
