The new Nike Flyknit Air Max marks the first time that Nike has paired its innovative Flyknit technology with the iconic Max Air cushioning system. The light, yet strong Flyknit upper contours to the foot for a comfortable, supportive fit and works with a more flexible Air Max midsole and waffle outsole to deliver the lightest, and most flexible, Air Max ever.
The Nike Flyknit Air Max will be available in two new men’s colorways and and two new women’s colorways. Two of these colorways are exclusive to Nike, get them on May 20.
The BMF Kicks & Sportswear Take >>
Visually, the Nike Flyknit Air Max is not so much a polarizing shoe, but it is a shoe that pulls you in with its mix of ‘organic’ and ‘modern’ compounds in the knit upper and air-filled sole. It certainly seems promising in its make. Naturally, the star of the shoe is the colors produced through the Flyknit technology and the canvas it becomes based on the colorway. For technology’s sake, there’s a lot of merit in the shoe’s potential to perform at a high level, and the Flyknit/Max Air combination makes for an interesting mix of features.
