Larry David to Debut on Broadway in ‘Fish in the Dark’

If you’re at all familiar with Larry David, you know that, since his days as the head writer/co-creator of Seinfeld, the man likes to work at his own pace. Apparently, lately that work has been on a new Broadway play entitled Fish in the Dark. Not only did he write it, but mega-producer Scott Rudin convinced David to star in the show. And that last piece of information is pretty … pretty … pretty good.

This should inspire several feelings for fans of David’s popular HBO show, Curb Your Enthusiasm, which hasn’t aired since 2011. For one, it reminds us of the fictional Larry David’s turn as Max Bialystock. Two, it may actually get us off our couches and into the theater. And three, get back to work on a new season, Larry!

Let’s just hope his Broadway turn goes better than it did in Curb.

The play will open March 5 of 2015 in a theater to be named later.
