The Philadelphia Eagles took the field last night wearing the new NFL Nike Elite 51 uniform fabrication, accelerating their game through innovation. As Chip Kelly begins his second season with the Eagles, the team continues to push the limits of speed through both performance and innovation. The Elite 51 uniform chassis offers a fully integrated uniform system rooted in body-led design and built for a body-contoured fit resulting in zero distractions in order to help amplify speed. Engineered from the inside out, Nike designers focused on creating a system where the baselayer, padding, jersey and pant work in concert. Sleeve articulation allows for better range of motion and four-way stretch fabrication provides a streamlined shrink-wrap fit. The uniform also features Flywire technology to reduce weight and provide a lockdown fit over the pads. The Eagles will wear the Elite 51 technology for all three of their uniform colorways (White, Midnight Green and the alternate Black). Because of the accelerated change, the Black and the White uniforms will be worn early in the season and the Midnight Green uniform will debut at a later date this season.
