The University of Louisville and adidas today unveiled the new “ShowTime” alternate TECHFIT football uniform that the Cardinals will wear versus Florida State on October 30.
The grey uniform features camo accents and a chrome red Cardinals logo throughout. A large, Old English “L” covers the chest of the compression base layer, while the jersey features lightweight, carbon black lettering and numbering outlined in bold red.
Louisville’s new uniform incorporates TECHFIT Shockweb technology. The adidas TECHFIT Shockweb uniform is the only true compression uniform system in the industry. Shockweb fits tighter to the body, making players more difficult to tackle. TECHFIT Shockweb is lighter, helping to make the player fast and increasing his range of motion to support the athlete’s performance at the highest levels.
The uniform also includes a full line of cleats with camo design details and a chrome red Cardinal logo on the tongue. The line includes the adizero 5-Star 3.0 – the lightest cleat in the game at 6.7 ounces. The cleat has a SPRINTSKIN upper with SHOCKWEB reinforcement and a SPRINTFRAME plate that provides maximum acceleration and multi-directional traction.
