Everyone needs to R-E-L-A-X about the New England Patriots. They are 2-2 and are still going to win the AFC East. Tom Brady simply showed everyone else what it is like to be left hanging, and a firestorm of criticism ensued.

Just take the words, or word, of Aaron Rodgers and relax.

Anyway, NFL primetime was a brutal time for myself and fans in New Orleans and New England respectively. Tony Romo has evolved and Kansas City sports are simply on a roll right now. The Kansas City Royals’ victory over the Oakland A’s was easily the best baseball game since Game 6 of the 2011 World Series.

While the Kansas City is elated, Pittsburgh is going through some tough times. The Pittsburgh Steelers blew their lead against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, led by Mike Glennon. This, coupled with a brutal loss by the Pittsburgh Pirates, is making for some tough times in the Steel City.

The Steelers come into their game this week against the Jacksonville Jaguars as only 6.5-point favorites. That is a statement in itself. That is 1.5 points fewer than what the Denver Broncos are favored over the undefeated Arizona Cardinals. (I’m taking the Cardinals.)

Last week also brought us to our first tie, with the spread, when the Philadelphia Eagles lost by five to the San Francisco 49ers. The Eagles could do nothing on offense, but were able to score three special teams touchdowns in a game the 49ers escaped from with a win.

There is only one double-digit spread this week (Saints vs. Buccaneers) to worry about, which is only because the Oakland Raiders are not playing. Harsh but true.
