adidas today unveiled two new colorways of the D Rose 5 Boost signature basketball shoe that Derrick Rose will wear in his on-court rotation this season. The D Rose 5 Boost is the first basketball shoe to offer full shoe length Boost cushioning technology designed for heightened energy return and step-in comfort to ensure maximum performance.
The “Alternate Away” version features a black lightweight and breathable mesh SPRINT WEB upper with a matte gray mudguard for added strength and style. The tongue is highlighted by a red lace-loop ribbon with a graphic inspired by Chicago architecture. Additional details on the “Alternate Away” D Rose 5 Boost include a gray and white print on the Fit Cage, black and red camo laces and a red pull tab on the back of the shoe.
Derrick will wear the “Home” and “Alternate Away” versions along with the “Train Line” and “Away” colorways during the first portion of the 2014-15 season.
The D Rose 5 Boost “Home” launches for $140 at adidas.com and Foot Locker on November 6 while the “Alternate Away” will be available on December 4.
