There are many things that the amazingly athletic Michael Jordan is great at. Dominating on a basketball court, selling sneakers, and picking good cigars are all on the side of things he does great. For his latest venture, he’s going to focus on two things he’s not so great at, business and golf.
Sources close to Michael Jordan say that he is looking into the possibility of building his own private golf course in Florida.
Jordan lives in the elegant ‘Bear’s Club’ community—Jack Nicklaus’ private country club/course, which happens to be one of the most exclusive golf establishments in America.
Jordan, who plays the links pretty fast is tired of waiting for the slower players at the current course. So to save himself time, he’s thinking about building his own course.
The source, who spoke with Golf.com with the promise of anonymity said that His Airness has secured the option on a plot of land in nearby Hobe Sound, just south of the luxe Medalist Golf Club, which counts Tiger Woods and Rickie Fowler among its members.
Jordan is said to want to hire some the best designers to create an exclusive club all his own that would cater to a few hundred members.
