LeBron James has now scored the 22nd most points all-time in NBA league history as he passed Allen Iverson on Sunday, February 22nd. Iverson was admittedly one of the players James grew up idolizing, but the moment wasn’t too big for LeBron to get in a dig at the media. “To know that I passed Allen Iverson on the all-time scoring list, for someone that’s not much of a scorer — as you guys have deemed me — it is pretty cool.”
What is really cool is LeBron has eclipsed Iverson’s 14-year career in under 12 years of play. He is also just 122 points back of Ray Allen for number 21 on the list, and Ray who is currently a free agent, did his damage in 18 seasons of NBA play.
Not much of a scorer indeed.
