Wednesday night, Kevin Garnett completed a whirl-wind tour that’s saw him become an NBA world champion and league MVP. Last week’s trade between the Brooklyn Nets and the Minnesota Timberwolves brought Garnett back to the city that initially welcomed him into the league.

After much hype and fanfare, KG made his return to Target Arena where he became a star and the fans welcomed him back with open arms.

The 15-time all-star was met with an epic video tribute before last night’s game against the Washington Wizards.

Fans gave Garnett a standing ovation in his return to Minnesota. Players like Lebron James who were watching the moment tweeted their excitement over watching his return.

The Timberwolves drafted Garnett with the No. 5 overall pick in 1995 when he entered the draft as a 19-year-old out of high school. Garnett spent 12-seasons with the Timberwolves before being traded to the Boston Celtics in the summer of 2007. He would win a championship with the Boston Celtics during the 2007-08 season.

The 4-time All-NBA first team player become the only player in league history to score more than 20,000 points, 10,000 rebounds, 5,000 assists, 1,500 steals and 1,500 blocks over his career.
