In a move that is shocking no one (except Peyton Manning’s  accountant) the Denver Broncos and Peyton Manning appear to have agreed on a salary reduction that would see the all-time leader in passing touchdowns go from earning $19 million a year to close to $15 million a year.

The move will save the Broncos $4 million in cap space this year, and should allow them some room to help provide Manning with some of the pieces he needs to be successful.

There has also been reports that due to the medical issues surround Manning last year the team hopes to build a more balanced offensive attack that would take some of the pressure off Manning, and his aging body.

My two cents on the matter is unless this team find another Terrell Davis who is going to put up 2,000 yards I can’t see them pushing through the playoffs with the current roster.
