The Cleveland Browns coming to HBO’s Hard Knocks? That sounds like must-see TV. If all goes as planned, the cable network’s hit reality show would feature one of the NFL’s most dysfunctional franchises.

Buffalo News reporter and former Browns employee Vic Carruci broke the news via Twitter.

Last season, the Browns managed to make headlines in all the wrong ways. The team bypassed on Teddy Bridgewater, and drafted Johnny Manziel with the 22nd pick. Manziel rewarded the team by having one of the shortest and most disastrous seasons ever for a first round pick!

The offseason would just give the team more time to make a fool of itself. News of illegal text messages, dismisal of a star wide receiver, and Manziel going to rehab made the Browns look like a reality show anyway.

As we get closer to a new season, both head coach Mike Pettine and GM Ray Farmer are in a “win now or else” phase. With their quarterback position in shambles and the fans wondering if they will ever see a winner again in Cleveland, this might be the best time to allow cameras behind the scenes of the dysfunction.
