As Dallas Mavericks’ power forward Dirk Nowitzki and his mentor Holger Geschwindner worked tirelessly across the court from the watchful eyes of the media on Monday afternoon at the American Airlines Center, coach Rick Carlisle shut his eyes briefly after being temporarily blinded by the sharp light of a TV camera. After his eyes adjusted, he was asked the question on everyone’s mind: How are Chandler Parsons and Devin Harris doing?

Carlisle said that Parsons (knee) and Harris (turf toe) are questionable and most likely be a game-time decision.

What does this loosely translate to in Mavericks land? “Oh, f**k.”

Coach tirelessly answered questions and spoke of taking care of all the “little things” that poked at the Mavericks during their loss to the Houston Rockets on Saturday evening, sighting many adjustments that must be made in order for a pivotal Game 2 to lean in Dallas’ favor.
