As seems to be the case in recent adidas product, anything Uncaged usually means it’s showing an opportunity to be more visually captivating than its more subdued forms. In the case of the adidas adizero Afterburner 2.0 Uncaged Bear, that’s definitely true, and very timely for the adidas MLB All-Star Cincinnati Collection.

Ahead of tonight’s MLB All-Star Home Run Derby, adidas unveils a special edition adizero Afterburner 2.0 Uncaged Bear cleat for Chicago Cubs rookie third baseman Kris Bryant.
Designed for the game’s fastest 5-tool players, the Uncaged Collection represents players’ on-field mindsets to uncage their inner beasts. With inspiration from the team’s mascot, adidas designers took the adizero Afterburner 2.0, the lightest cleat in the game at 8.7 oz., and created a photo-realistic, high-definition Uncaged Bear in Chicago Cubs’ colors.
The adizero Afterburner 2.0 Uncaged Bear cleat features a lightweight pearlized synthetic with a digitally-printed grizzly bear graphic, combined with an abrasion-resistant no-sew toe cap. The new design sits atop a full-length LITESTRIKE EVA midsole for increased cushioning and comfort, and a new pearlized SPRINTFRAME plate with PROTRAX cleat configuration to provide optimum responsiveness and traction.
