Rockets Hold Off Thunder

The Oklahoma City Thunder looked out of sync all night without their All-Star point point guard, Russell Westbrook. While Reggie Jackson filled in admirably with 20 points,  the Rockets 3-point barrage was too much to handle as they took down the Thunder 107-100.

The Rockets were also without starting point guard Jeremy Lin for the second straight game because of a bruised chest muscle.

James Harden led the way for the Rockets with 31 points, knocking down seven threes along the way. Despite the “Hack an Omer” tactic OKC deployed, Asik went 13-18 from the charity stripe, and ended with 21 points and 11 rebounds.  Francisco Garcia got in on the action with 18 points, mostly off his five 3-pointers. Patrick “I sucked the life out of OKC championship hopes” Beverley scored 14, and Aaron Brooks and Chandler Parsons each had 10 apiece.

The Oklahoma City Thunder lead the series 3-2, Game 6 is Friday, May 3, in Houston.
