Rajon Rondo’s job security as the Celtics point guard isn’t in question. But along with Comcast SportsNet, he’s come up with an interesting way to moonlight.

Rondo will serve as a guest analyst during the Celtics’ matchup with the Bulls on Monday, March 31.

He’ll join play-by-play voice Mike Gorman for the first quarter of CSNNE’s broadcast, with Cedric Maxwell substituting in for the final three quarters. Boston Globe

This should be a lot of fun. We always read about how smart Rondo is, but we have never gotten his thoughts live during a game. Maybe we will even get one of the classic Rondo faces.

If he does a great job, maybe we will get to witness more of instances of current players commentating during a broadcast while sitting out because of injury.– AL
