Ersan Ilyasova’s difficult season has finally come to a close.
The Bucks power forward will not play in the remaining 11 games of the season in order to begin the healing process for a right ankle injury that has troubled him since October.
Ilyasova was examined by Richard Ferkel, a noted foot and ankle specialist, in Los Angeles on Tuesday following the Bucks’ game against the Clippers on Monday night. Ilyasova did not play Monday after playing 24 minutes in Sacramento on Sunday.
Ferkel recommended a period of rest and recuperation but indicated no surgery would be required. Milwaukee-Wisconsin Journal Sentinel
If Present Me would tell past Past Me that Ersan Ilyasova would be part of a team so horrendous that they would have the worst record in the league despite another club losing 26 games in a row, I never would have drafted him in my fantasy league this year. Oh, and Ilyasova’s injuries. Lots and lots of missed games. – AL
