This game almost fell through the cracks for the Washington Wizards, until a late rally helped send the game into overtime and secure the win against the Chicago Bulls, taking a 2-0 lead in the series.

The Wizards erased a ten point deficit in the final seven minutes of the game to force overtime, and then went on to score the first six points in the period to claim a 101-99 victory. Bradley Beal lead Washington in scoring with 26 points, Nene complied 17 and John Wall added 16 of his own to go with 7 assists. Both teams had opportunities to win in the closing few seconds, but had a hard time converting. “I think we did a great job staying calm and composed,” Wall said after the game.

With Washington heading back to DC this Friday for Game 3, they seem to be energized and surprised by their post-season play. “Throughout the whole year, we’ve been growing and growing,” Wizards guard Beal said. The Wiz Kids seem determined to knock the Bulls down early. The bench for the Wizards contributed 27 points from Trevor Booker, Martell Webster and Andre Miller. The Wizards pulled out the win despite missing 12 free throws.

Washington plays the Bulls at home this Friday. Tune in to continue to follow this exciting series.
