The EKTIO Alexio is the brand’s third-generation basketball shoe continuing a theme of producing anti-ankle inversion hoops footwear. EKTIO claims and aims to end all ankle sprains during play. Being co-signed by former Golden State Warrior and New York Knicks legend John Starks doesn’t hurt, either.

We’re excited to announce the release of our 3rd generation of the Ektio shoe line, The Alexio.

We’ve changed the name of the shoe from what we had originally planned because of name conflicts with another shoe brand. We decided to go with “The Alexio” because it brings us back to our roots. Ektio is a combination of “Ektor and Alexio” in greek, both meaning, “Protect and Defend.” The Alexio, more specifically, means “Defender/Warrior of Man.” In fact, we’re even MORE excited about this name!!

The Alexio is a high top basketball shoe that runs true to size. It runs slightly larger than our Breakaway model, which ran a little small. The court feel is unmatched and the ankle support is second to none!
