It’s official!
The fight of the century between Floyd “Money” Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao will go down in Las Vegas on May 2nd.
The announcement was made weeks ago, but it was solidified when the two met up in Vegas Wednesday for a press-conference. The two fighters got together to speak to media and hype up the already overhyped fight.
After the 30-minute press conference, Pacquiao spoke with ESPN’s His & Her podcast yesterday. Aside from the fight, Pac spoke about MMA sensation Ronda Rousey.
Rousey is a big Pacquiao fan. She’s been campaigning for tickets for a while so she can see her favorite fighter in the match of his life.
Co-host host Jemele Hill asked if Rousey could beat Mayweather in a fight, Pacquiao said boldly,
“I believe so. She’s strong. She’s strong enough to beat Floyd Mayweather in MMA.”
Hopefully Rousey can get a chance to see the fight live. According to Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe, when an on-sale date for tickets are announced, seats will range from $1,500 to $7,500.
Not sure if anyone told Rousey, but as a somewhat celebrity, she can be her tickets free of charge as long as she’s down to some cross-promotion.
