Michael Jordan fans are going to hate this – LeBron James is the king of kicks! On the court, he’s still years away from meeting the greatness of Air Jordan, but he’s inching closer to Jordan when it comes to shoe sneakers.
Recently, James and Nike hit a huge milestone. James’ signature Nike shoes have generated $340 million in sales. That’s a 13 percent spike from last year according to Kurt Badenhausen of Forbes.
And that’s not where The King’s bankroll ends. Badenhausen says that Lebron brought in another $44 million thanks to endorsements.
Nike won big overall finishing with five of the top six bestselling shoes on the market.
Bottom line, with the money he brings in on and off the court, James might still be chasing Jordan on the court, but he might be joining his Airness in the billionaire club sooner than later.
