adidas Football introduces the FREAK Ultra – Von Miller Edition cleats. Showcasing Von’s personality and style on and off the field, the latest edition of the revolutionary FREAK Ultra cleats, featuring BOOST, were designed with insights and inspirations from the six-time NFL Pro Bowler and Super Bowl 50 MVP.

Kicking things off, a white Primeknit upper is highlighted with a silver metallic IRONSKIN that was inspired by the custom silver and diamond encrusted “Money Bag Gang” ring that Von had designed following Super Bowl 50.  To shine some additional light on the reinforced IRONSKIN upper, the speed tape that outlines the shape of design consists of a special ultraviolet (UV) material that changes color in the sunlight – the same way that the Von’s pro sport goggles changed colors during his youth football days.

Taking additional inspiration from Miller’s eyewear and his Von’s Vision foundation, the heel pull tabs are created from the same materials as his pro sport goggles and feature with the phrase “JUST LET ME PLAY.” The text was inspired from all the times that Von begged his mother to play football in the fifth grade. Further focusing on the eyewear theme, an outline of Von’s pro sport goggles has been emblazoned onto the internal BOOST sockliner of the left cleat, while Von’s signature is inscribed onto the internal BOOST sockliner of the right cleat.

The new FREAK Ultra, with its unique silhouette designed to provide mid-cut support with a low-cut feel, introduces new innovations to the football cleats that have been engineered for the most versatile speed athletes on turf, such as Von Miller, Dak Prescott, Jay Ajayi, Joey Bosa and Landon Collins. Taking cues from car designs, a re-engineered stealth like chassis is sculpted to be aerodynamic for high speeds, while the horsepower and features contained within take the FREAK Ultra to the next level.

• The Chassis – The FREAK Ultra takes sneaker style from the streets and bring them to the gridiron with a Primeknit one-piece bootie construction and mid-cut collar that wraps around the foot to provide a sock-like feel. Made with a cutting-edge, proprietary yarn blend that increases comfort, the Primeknit upper is designed to naturally move with the foot on the field, allow for flexibility and provide a precision fit and breathability. For addeddurability stability and abrasion protection, the toe-cap, heel and medial and lateral side of the cleats have been reinforced with IRONSKIN.
• The Ride – Providing unrivaled comfort for the ultimate ride, the FREAK Ultra introduces BOOST technology to a mid-cut cleat. The all-new BOOST sockliner helps provide comfort and further reduces cleat pressure.
• Independent Suspension – Tuned for the turf and on-field performance, the introduction of an innovative insole board allows for natural movement and anatomical flexion, while also securing the foot in place to help reduce hyperextension.
• Traction & Grip – Putting the power to the turf, the RAZORFRAME provides torsional rigidity and features strategically placed SPRINTSTUDS designed to provide peak performance, speed and multi-directional strength and traction.
