BMF Debut: adidas D Rose 5 Boost “Superstar”

Recently, Baller Mind Frame debuted the adidas Futurestar Boost, a new shoe that pays homage to the original Pro Model high-top sneakers of decades past, but now Derrick Rose’s latest signature shoe pays homage to the Pro Model’s low-top sneaker — the Superstar, this time as the adidas D Rose 5 Boost “Superstar”.

adidas unveiled the latest colorway of the D Rose 5 Boost signature basketball shoe that pays homage to one of adidas’ most iconic shoes – the Superstar.

The D Rose 5 Boost “Superstar” edition is highlighted by the iconic rubber shell-toe, which was featured on the original Superstar in 1969 for added durability. The upper features a luxurious snakeskin texture throughout, while the Fit Cage and laces compliment in a cream color. The upper sits atop a full-length Boost midsole for maximum energy return and comfort for one of the NBA’s most explosive players.

The adidas Superstar was first released in 1969 and quickly transitioned from the courts to the streets. The silhouette has been a mainstay of street culture ever since, representing creativity and diversity across the world. For adidas Originals, 2015 marks the next chapter of the Superstar legacy with product drops and artist collaborations throughout the year.

The D Rose 5 Boost Superstar edition drops February 12 for $140.
