An undisclosed location.

“You cheated.”

“I did nothing of the sort.”

“Sorry, the team you own, therefore your team, cheated and now I have to deal with it.”

“You don’t have to do anything. I’ll tell you what is going to happen.”

Roger had heard a similar saying before. Mr. Kraft was always there to guide Roger toward, as Mr. Kraft would say, “the right decision.”

“You are going to tell the media that an investigation is going to take place. That is all you will say.”

“Mr. Kraft, I’m sorry but I have to uphold the integrity of the game.”

“Since when has that been on your mind. People laugh at you because of what you just said. Just face it you have no idea how to uphold any sense of integrity.”

“But none of this is my fault.”

“Are you a child, Roger? Honestly, tell me if you are and this will go a lot quicker if you just let me handle everything.

Roger sighed and nodded his head as he had done so many times before.

“See isn’t life more fun this way.”

Roger Goodell remained silent and only had one thing on his mind. What if the Patriots win the Super Bowl?
