Chip Kelly’s Risky Trade May Come Back to Haunt Him

Trading All-Pro running back LeSean McCoy to the Buffalo Bills in exchange for injured linebacker Kiko Alonso was move that shocked even those of us that dislike the Philadelphia Eagles’ crackpot head coach, Chip Kelly.

Alonso is coming off of a torn ACL, and will have to pass a physical in order for the trade to be approved.

The move would create some cap room for the Eagles to make a splash in free agency, and the Bills have some good running backs, but I guess newly anointed Buffalo head coach Rex Ryan had some new plans in mind.

If the move works Kelly will be praised for his foresight and shrewd bargaining skills. If it backfires Kelly will likely finish out of the playoffs and be looking for a new job next year.
