Zara Park Talks Modeling, Fitness, & More in PCS Q&A

Zara Park is relatively new to the modeling world. That said, there’s plenty about her that makes Zara worth following. She seems like a genuinely nice individual, provides fitness inspiration on her social media, and should continue to rise in the modeling world as she gains additional experience. I had the opportunity to have a back and forth with Zara in the latest interview here at Pop Culture Spin. Give this new PCS collaboration a read below – also consider following Zara on Instagram.

Pop Culture Spin: Thank you for joining PCS on this interview, Zara. To start, how long have you been modeling?
Zara: Pleasure’s all mine, thank you for having me. I’m a fresh face to the modeling world, this would be my first year and so far I’m having a lot of fun.

PCS: Was modeling always in your plans growing up or did it emerge as an option later on?
Zara: I’ve always wanted to model, but I didn’t know where to start. Unexpectedly an opportunity came around and I decided to step out of my comfort zone to give it a try; words can’t explain how ecstatic I was to have taken that challenge which led me to come out of my shell. I’ve met amazing people and created many beautiful memories to cherish.

PCS: What type of projects have you participated in during your line of work so far in your journey?
Zara: Mainly photoshoots and a couple of shows. I love and appreciate fashion, make up, fitness, music and exotic cars. I plan on doing more projects that are in the circle of my interest.

PCS: If you had to pick a strong point or two regarding what you bring to photo shoots, what would it be?
Zara: Definitely positive energy, positive attitude and an open mind.

PCS: Your IG page mentions that you’re Persian and Korean – how meaningful is your heritage to you?
Zara: I love my heritage and I’m very thankful to be bicultural. My father is Persian and my mother is Korean. We moved to Las Vegas when I was 8 years old and my parents made sure I never forgot my roots. It was a family rule to only speak Korean inside the house so I wouldn’t forget the language. The way I was brought up, thanks to my amazing parents, I very much appreciate my backgrounds and the values that come along with them. The varieties of food, culture, holidays, history and language, it’s beautiful and fascinating.

PCS: You also post a fair amount on your IG page about fitness and overall health. Is hitting up the gym/eating healthy one of the primary aspects in your life?
Zara: I recently fell in love with fitness after reevaluating my unhealthy lifestyle and eating habits. It made me realize at the end of the day no one is going to take care of you like you can take care of yourself. With that mindset, I became obsessed with self discipline and balance and have been utilizing it at the gym to push through my workouts, my diet, and even at work.

PCS: What would you say are common mistakes people make when attempting to structure themselves on an exercise plan?
Zara: Self discipline and balance. Without the two I wouldn’t have the motivation let alone any progress. In addition it would have to be consistency and patience, it’s not an overnight accomplishment, so push harder. Getting a trainer and or a workout partner to guide and motivate you is recommended to achieve your goals properly.

PCS: Beyond modeling and fitness, what type of activities do you spend your free time doing?
Zara: I love to cook/bake, exploring to new restaurants, spending time with my 2 furry children Whitey (Miniature Schnauzer) and Ozzy (Border Collie/Lab), hiking and going to Disneyland. I’m a total Disney fanatic.

PCS: Is there anything exciting you’re able to speak on that’s on the way in 2016?
Zara: I don’t want to ruin the fun, I guess you’ll just have to stay tuned and keep an eye out!

PCS: I appreciate you spending time chatting with me on Pop Culture Spin’s behalf. Before we finish, can you state where readers can follow you on social media?
Zara: Again, pleasure’s all mine. Thank you for taking interest in me, it was a lot of fun.
