Week 10 NFL Fantasy Cheat Sheet

Running Backs

Top Picks – guys you HAVE to start if you have them

  1. Alvin Kamara vs. Cincinnati – The Saints figure to run the ball more in cool weather outside of a dome. Passes might be shorter too, and that all sets up well for Kamara
  2. Todd Gurley vs. Oakland – Has anyone seen the Raiders?!  Seriously, someone remind them they have a game this week.
  3. Kareem Hunt vs. Arizona – The only worry here is that this game gets out of hand early and that players like Hunt sit down in the second half.

Players to watch – players worth keeping an eye on

  1. David Johnson vs. Kansas City – The Cardinals figure to be down, which means that they will have to pass a lot, and Johnson might do his best work as a pass catcher.
  2. Ezekiel Elliott vs. Philadelphia – The team continues to struggle, but Cooper means that teams are at least thinking about receivers.  Perhaps this could be a game where Zeke gets it all back in line.

Players to avoid – I’d rather not start these guys if I can avoid it

  1. Nick Chubb vs. Atlanta – The Falcons figure to be up early, so there might not be as much use for a thumper like Chubb.  More on this later.
  2. Sony Michel vs. Tennessee – The Titans are pretty good against the run, so I imagine Sony isn’t going to see the volume of work you’d hope for.

Draft King Bargains – decent matchups you can pick up on the cheap

  1. Adrian Peterson vs. Tampa Bay – Tampa is garbage against the run, and you figure the Redskins are going to try and control the ball in this one.
  2. Duke Johnson vs. Atlanta – Johnson is a great pass catcher out of the backfield, and to keep up with Atlanta he figures to be the feature back for Cleveland against the Falcons.

Wide Receivers

Top Picks – guys you HAVE to start if you have them

  1. Tyreek Hill vs. Arizona – The Chiefs are money on offense, and the Cardinals struggle to cover receivers in space.
  2. Michael Thomas vs. Cincinnati – Thomas is putting up crazy numbers, and he gets good red zone targets as well.
  3. Julio Jones vs. Cleveland – I am a little leery on this pick, but assuming he doesn’t get triple covered on every down he’ll still put up 100 yards at least.

Players to watch – players worth keeping an eye on

  1. A.J. Green vs. New Orleans – He’s in a walking boot. So even if he plays he might not be his usual self.
  2. Tyler Boyd vs. New Orleans – Assuming Green doesn’t play that forces Boyd to the outside, but he plays best in the slot. Interesting to see how this all plays out.
  3. Robert Woods vs. Seattle – Kupp is back, which means Woods is getting less targets. With that said he’s still putting up good numbers.  We’ll see how that continues as time rolls on.

Players to avoid – I’d rather not start these guys if I can avoid it

  1. Amari Cooper vs. Philadelphia – He’s getting a ton of targets, but he’s not on the same page as Dak yet.
  2. T.Y. Hilton vs. Jacksonville – If there is one person Jacksonville is going to target its Hilton.  He could be taken away and doubled on most plays.

Draft King Bargains – decent matchups you can pick up on the cheap

  1. Larry Fitzgerald vs. Kansas City – If the Cards are down they are going to have to pass, and that could mean a big day for Fitz as the Chiefs have a bad defense on the best days.
  2. Marvin Jones Jr. vs. Chicago – With Tate out of Detroit Jones Jr. becomes the main go to man.
  3. Corey Davis vs. New England – The Titans figure to be down, so Davis is going to be used a huge amount to try and keep up.

Quarter Backs

Top Picks – guys you HAVE to start if you have them

  1. Patrick Mahomes vs. Arizona – Has there been a better fantasy QB this season?
  2. Jared Goff vs. Seattle – I like Goff to have a bounce back game this week.  Seattle is better suited to stop the run than the pass.
  3. Tom Brady vs. Tennessee – Tennessee has a good defensive line, which means a lot of passing to move the ball.

Players to watch – players worth keeping an eye on

  1. Josh Rosen vs. Kansas City – The Chiefs defense is horrible, and in a high scoring affair Rosen may be forced to excel.
  2. Blake Bortles vs. Indianapolis – Indy is lacking on defense, so could this be the game when Bortles puts it together again?

Players to avoid – I’d rather not start these guys if I can avoid it

  1. Dak Prescott vs. Philadelphia – I’m avoiding Dak like the plague until he shows he can do anything with consistency, except throw picks.
  2. Matthew Stafford vs. Chicago – Chicago has a good defense, and Stafford is without Tate now.  He could struggle to put up big numbers.

Draft King Bargains – decent matchups you can pick up on the cheap

  1. Matt Ryan vs. Cleveland – Not exactly bargain basement, but he’s priced WAY too low considering his output and who he’s playing against.
  2. Philip Rivers vs. Oakland – Did anyone at Draft Kings not see what the backup for the 49ers did against Oakland last week?
  3. Baker Mayfield vs. Atlanta – Atlanta gives up a lot of yards, and the Browns will be forced to pass to keep pace.

Tight Ends

Top Picks – guys you HAVE to start if you have them

  1. Travis Kelce vs. Arizona – Probably the best TE in the game, and figures to have a heavy day against the lackluster Cards.
  2. O.J. Howard vs. Washington – Washington is pretty solid on defense, everywhere except the TE.  Howard might be the only one who has a good day for Tampa.
  3. Jimmy Graham vs. Miami – With lots of question marks on the outside Graham is the red zone and midfield target Rodgers is going to.

Players to watch – players worth keeping an eye on

  1. David Njoku vs. Atlanta – In a game where the Browns have to keep up all pass catchers are going to be used.
  2. Jared Cook vs. Los Angeles Chargers – If there is one person who could have a big day for the Raiders it’s Cook.

Players to avoid – I’d rather not start these guys if I can avoid it

  1. Austin Hooper vs. Cleveland – Hooper isn’t getting the targets that make him a reliable play on any given week.
  2. Trey Burton vs. Detroit – Burton has seen very limited involvement in the offense, and his vertical abilities are going to waste.

Draft King Bargains – decent matchups you can pick up on the cheap

  1. Chris Herndon vs. Buffalo – Buffalo has some good corners, but no one to stick with TE’s.
  2. Eric Ebron vs. Jacksonville – Ebron becomes the guy who might get open as the Jaguars look to shut down the outside receiving threats.
  3. Ben Watson vs. Cincinnati – The outdoor nature of the game means big passing plays won’t be in the cards as much, but that means more check downs to guys like Watson.

Defenses

Top Picks – teams you HAVE to start if you have them

  1. New York Jets vs. Buffalo – Buffalo has a historically bad offense, and the Jets play well enough of defense to take advantage.
  2. Los Angeles Chargers vs. Oakland – The Raiders put up 3 points last game and the Chargers have a better defense than the 49ers.
  3. Green Bay vs. Miami – Miami is a streaky team, and the Packers played the Patriots well enough of defense to make this a good match-up for them.

Teams to watch – teams worth keeping an eye on

  1. Los Angeles Rams vs. Seattle – They stunk against the Saints, but Talib might be back in the mix.
  2. Indianapolis vs. Jacksonville – The Jags offense is not great, and that could line up nicely for a big fantasy point day.

Teams to avoid – I’d rather not start these guys if I can avoid it

  1. Arizona vs. Kansas City – Fade anyone playing the Chiefs.
  2. Tennessee vs. New England – New England tears teams apart, regardless of who they are.

Draft King Bargains – decent matchups you can pick up on the cheap

  1. Kansas City vs. Arizona – The high score may force some bad plays that the Chiefs can take advantage of.
  2. Los Angeles Rams vs. Seattle – This might be the cheapest this defense is all season.
  3. Indianapolis vs. Jacksonville – The Jags are bad, so that alone makes the Colts an interesting play.
