[dropcap]A[/dropcap]lthough he’s been out of the musical spotlight for some time (his last full-length album, Ashes & Fire, was released in 2011), Ryan Adams is back, brandishing an excellent new single, “Gimme Something Good,” from his soon-to-be-released self-titled album. Give it a listen here:

Adams’ record label, PAX•AM (of which he is the founder), has September 9 set as the record’s release date, although fans can pre-order the album on iTunes or Amazon now.

Track listing is as follows:

Gimme Something Good
Am I Safe
My Wrecking Ball
Stay With Me
Feels Like Fire
I Just Might
Tired Of Giving Up
Let Go

Adams can next be seen performing at the Newport Folk Festival on July 25 among such artists as Jack White, Mavis Staples, Jeff Tweedy, Deer Tick, and others. But note that tickets for the festival are already sold out.
