John Wall, the NBA All-Star and Washington Wizards point guard, has been touring China and to make a point of it, the brand with the three stripes has released his adidas J Wall 2 Take on Summer shoe to commemorate his journey.

It’s a really lovely shoe, the J Wall 2, specifically because of the color design. Limiting to two hues with great contrast really pushes the design forward and gives it good dimension.

This week NBA All-Star John Wall will tip off his Take on Summer Tour in China and to prepare for the trip adidas is releasing a special edition of John’s J Wall 2 signature shoe. Inspired by the players who ball at sunset during the long, warm nights of summer, the shoes feature a mix of vibrant solar orange colors and smooth, luxury materials.
The J Wall 2 features a solar orange upper with tumbled leather and a pearlized finish to match John’s electrifying play and unique fashion sense. With full length adiprene+ and Quickframe technology, the J Wall 2 delivers optimum quickness and cushioning for added flexibility and comfort on the court. A deep flex groove runs along the center of the traction pattern to elevate John’s inside-outside game, while the silhouette’s 3-D molded topline provides increased stability.
The J Wall 2 Take on Summer edition ($115) drops September 21 at Footlocker, Eastbay and adidas.com.
Take on Summer tips-off September 12 in Guangzhou, China, continuing through September 19 with stops in Qingdao, Beijing and Taiwan.
